actually the shaolin even train those parts as well. the neck, even testacles heh. they tie their balls with rope and pull an object for scroat endurance. also, they hang themselves from their necks for neck endurement. u just wont see them in the ring because this discipline also evokes peace upon them.

uhhhh Philip, these Shaolin monks are trained to defentd themselves against any attacks. In the fighting ring, these guys could wipe the floor with anyone you throw at them. You wouldn’t wanna see what these guys could do in a fight.

In Anient Chinese Chi Kung, the master most concerned about Naval.
Naval is treated as the area inside our body intestine’s area.
Chinese called this area ‘The Field for growing Internal Ji or Energy’
However, this concept was rejected by our Chinese Martial Art Giant Wang Xian Zhai who was the founder of Yi Kuen.
In modern concept in Chinese Medical field , the Naval is a small point which is the concentration of nervous’ system impulse from internal to external and Vise Vesa.

There are many parts on the body which can not defence against strong impact.
The eyes, ears, joints….etc could not be trained to become strong against attack.
This is useless on the fighting ring.
But for a show, it is outstanding !!
